MTP Secondary (MTPS) is a professional development program that offers year-long individualized consultation to teachers. Through the MTPS consultancy, teachers receive individualized professional development that focuses on their own classroom practice. The consultant observes video of the teacher and provides objective, constructive guidance. The teacher can review, analyze and reflect on video of their teaching via a secured internet connection. The consultation consists of ongoing cycles of observation, reflection, and consultation based on these videos. The MTPS program offers evidence-based practices that can be readily integrated into any curriculum and focuses on specific student-teacher interactions that lead to intentional teaching and student learning gains.
